Backstory

When Ciel was born he was the younger twin of the true “Ciel”. He was considered the spare, he was shy and was constantly ill so he was forced to stay inside. Originally as a child he wanted to leave the Phantomhive house and become a Toy Maker. However, on the twins 10th birthday the house was attacked, his family murdered and Ciel along with his brother kidnapped and sold off. For the next month the brothers were tortured, abused, assaulted, branded, all to be used as a sacrifice for a cult summoning the devil. Ciel’s brother was taken and used as the sacrifice in front of his eyes, his rage for the people that hurt them, and caused this pain upon them allowed the Devil to be summoned. Here is where he created a contract with the Devil who is renamed Sebastian (After his dog) and started down his path of revenge, taking his brothers name and living as him and the Earl of House Phantomhive.

Personalilty

Ciel comes off as standoffish, cold and rude due to his trauma and responsibility to be the head of his house. In reality he is still very childish, throwing tantrums, playing childish tricks to get the resolution that he wants. He is incredibly intelligent, he adores playing chess and he turns the entire world into his chess board. He suffers from PTSD and has occasional episodes where he becomes unresponsive, hateful, and scared. This especially happens in the morning after he’s had a flashback in a dream. He truly does love those close to him despite not showing it well. He likes to give meaningful shows of his affection.
